Recently we tested an old Nvidia Quadro FX 3500 graphics card along with Intel Pentium Dual Core E6500 2.93 GHz.

The effects:

Ladybug Mixer run on 60 FPS with 4 parallel 720p video in zone blending. The visual effects are vivid and liquid.

Why Quadro FX 3500 so fast?

Quadro FX 3500 is based on old G71 GPU with only 20 pixel and 7 vertex shader units. GPU clock speed is only 470MHz. But its power consumption is less than 80W. The price before was $1,000. At first glance FX 3500 is a low-performance GPU. But
Quadro FX 3500 contains 256MB of GDDR3 SDRAM and connects to GPU via 256bit bus. GDDR3 SDRAM can runs at 1320MHz and its memory bandwidth can be 42.2 GBytes/Sec.

The 256-bit memory bus is a key factor of the speed of Quadro FX 3500.
